1. Try before you pay
Every new account receives 20 free credits — enough to generate a complete short book and read it in the application — so you can judge IdeaTome before paying anything. No card is needed for the free plan.
2. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time, in a few clicks, from the Billing page in your account. There is no cancellation fee and no need to contact us.
- Cancellation stops all future charges.
- Your plan and its remaining credits stay available until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- When the period ends, your account returns to the free plan. Your books stay in your library.
3. Automatic credit refunds
If a book, chapter rewrite or cover fails to generate because of a problem on our side, the credits it used are returned to your balance automatically — you do not need to ask.
4. When we refund a payment
Each generation uses paid AI processing the moment it runs, so payments are generally not refundable once the credits they bought have been used. We will refund a payment in full when:
- Your first subscription payment — you ask within 7 days of it and have used no more than 10% of that period’s credits;
- You were charged in error — a duplicate charge, or a charge after you had cancelled;
- The Service failed you — a fault on our side prevented you from using what you paid for and we could not fix it within a reasonable time.
Renewal payments are not refunded for a period that has already started, but you can cancel at any time to prevent the next one. Nothing in this policy limits a refund you are entitled to under the consumer-protection law of the country where you live.
5. How to request a refund
Email support@ideatome.com from the address on your account with the date and amount of the payment and a line on what went wrong. We reply within 2 business days.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. They usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Credits bought with a refunded payment are removed from your balance.
